The Skyline Experience

January 1, 2023

"What is it like working with you?"

We were asked the question the other day and realized the answer doesn't currently live on our website! Today, we are here to walk through what you can expect when you hire Skyline Photography Inc, from first contact to final files. Our goal is to make the experience as smooth as possible so you can focus on listing your property for sale or rent as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

The Skyline Photography Inc Team

Phase 1: Planning

Once you submit your request form, we will review and confirm your session date is available. If needed, we will schedule a call to discuss the details further. We will also take a look at the weather forecast in the area because our day may be available, but the weather may have other plans. Once we nail down the date, we will send you a formal proposal with an agreement and invoice for you to sign and review. We do require a 20% deposit to secure your session with the remainder due on the session date.

Phase 2: Prepping the Home

Before our onsite visit, we recommend preparing the home for photos. This can be as simple or as complex as you make it. If the property is for sale, make sure to clean the highlight rooms at a minimum. If the home is for rent, create a cozy vibe with a simple table setting and some LED candles. If you need a starting point, check out our blog post on simple home staging to help!

Phase 3: Onsite Visit

Session day is here, and we will be there will smiles on! You will most likely see our pup, Murray, chilling in the back of the truck while we get the gear ready for the shoot. We will walk through the home with you to make sure all lights are on, windows are open, and make suggestions on any items to move for aesthetics. We then get to work! If we are taking sunset photos, we will likely hang out for a while and ask that you turn on all the exterior lights as well. Once we are wrapped up, we head back to begin the editing the raw footage.

Phase 4: Post Visit Editing

We edit everything in house and take pride in our work process. After we return to our office, we begin editing. Depending on the services you request this will take anywhere from 48-72 hours. We will make sure to discuss this with you during the proposal phase to ensure you have enough time before listing. Rush orders requested faster than 24 hours can be requested for an additional $100 fee.

Phase 5: Final Gallery

After all the files are ready, we will send you a Dropbox link to review your final images/videos/tours. We will make sure to walk you through this process if you have not used Dropbox before. If you have any change requests, this is the time to send them over to us. We want to make sure you are happy with the finals so you can get to listing that property as soon as possible!
